Homemade Granola

Honey & Fig GranolaAs we are getting into the routine with back to school, granola was on the list for a healthy snack that is easy to prepare in a big batch. This is the perfect healthy baked good to have on-hand for making a yogurt parfait, topping on salads, using as trail mix or adding to oatmeal for added crunch.

Bowl of GranolaWe love recipes that sweeten with honey or maple syrup and use coconut oil to keep nuts, seeds and oats together. Great healthy ingredients to add to any recipe include ground flax, chia seeds and hemp hearts. For different types of sweetness swap between with dried figs, raisins or chocolate chips.
Nut & Raisin GranolaBaking granola on a silicone baking mat makes it easy for cleaning your baking sheet and is a more eco friendly option. A big batch of granola can be stored in an airtight container, lasting for up to 2 weeks... if it lasts that long!
